StayConnected2UCSC Survey
In the 2020-2021 academic year, our campus launched a series of short surveys designed to collect vital information to inform campus services and faculty about student needs, especially in an environment of remote learning. These surveys were sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs and Success, the Center for Innovations in Teaching and Learning, and other units on campus.
The StayConnected2UCSC surveys helped campus units to identify and prioritize the most needed services for students during the 2020-2021 academic year.
Survey Topics
The first survey was open from October 12, 2020 to October 25, 2020, and collected information about how close students were living to the UC Santa Cruz campus and what students' health needs were.
The second survey was open from October 30, 2020 to November 11, 2020, and collected information about student concerns, obstacles to attending live online classes, experiences with online platforms and tools, and awareness of health services.
The third survey was open from December 9, 2020 to January 10, 2021. It was a survey of undergraduate students, about student events and groups, activities and use of time, concerns about health and campus preparedness, life on campus (for on-campus students), and staying motivated and inspired. The goal of the survey was to collect information to inform programming for students, and to better support students living on campus.
The fourth survey was open from February 23, 2021 to March 10, 2021. It was a survey of undergraduate students, about student opinions and experiences around academic integrity.
