First Destination Survey

For each quarter’s graduates, the survey is open for up to six months after graduation.  The survey asks graduating seniors about plans after completing a degree – whether seeking employment, working, going to graduate school, or pursuing other interests.

First Destination Survey Dashboard
Results show the post-graduation plans of recent undergraduate degree recipients. The aim of this dashboard is to help students with major selection and career preparation. Responses include graduates from 7 years (Summer 2016 to Spring 2023).  Responses from Spring 2023 graduates were collected through January 2024.

The survey helps current students with major selection and career preparation, and helps alumni understand where UC Santa Cruz students go after graduation.  Results help UCSC Career Success and academic departments plan to better meet students’ and recent graduates’ needs. Responses are confidential, reported in the aggregate, and are combined over multiple quarters and years.

Major-specific reports are available for graduates between 2014 and 2017, and provide an overview of the diverse interests and achievements of recent graduates from UC Santa Cruz.
